Praise for Chicago Warriors!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The author, John
Wills, adroitly addresses the ethical, moral and societal issues faced by police officerson the job and in their every day
lives. He presents a balanced view, both good and bad of the police officers and the citizens they serve and protect. This
book will leave you with a good feeling that if you do the right thing you will be rewarded in the end!

Excellent
read! The stories told and emotions expressed are so close to reality that you can almost feel and taste them.
It's a rare occasion that a book makes me want to scream at the characters but I certainly did want to in many parts of
"Chicago Warriors". I look forward to seeing what else you may have up your sleeve? (or in your typing fingers).

I
spent a lot of years with John Wills in the law enforcement trenches of Detroit, a place where faith is rarely a survivor.
Somehow John's flourished. In Midnight (Chicago) Warriors, he has created a unique narrative demonstrating how
the worst of man can be defeated by the best in man. It is a parable of a morality that is vanishing from the American
landscape. Paul Lindsay, Author FBI series.

Wills covers the issues that are timely today, date rape, violence associated with prostitutes, steroid use among
body builders, young criminals, and police corruption... By today's standards it is acceptable for most readers
of any age. There is no problem with language, sexual content or violence.

In the last 35 years I've read hundreds, if not
thousands of police procedurals and related genre, and its hard to find any that can still hold my interest. This one did.
It has a police chaplain as a character, I like that, but that's not what held me. The story carried me along. he drama.
The radio assignments stuck a real cord with me, as I've answered up to many such calls, and in the book felt the
emotion of the real thing.
The characters are like so many I've met over the years. You know you're reading
a good police novel when you go to work and find that: life imitates the art you're reading. It's a book with a point
to make. The Christian element is clearly there, but in a humble, rather than self-righteous way. t's a book that many
police officers will relate to because I've never met a group of more religious people than cops. Their religion is more
internal than external. It's often inchoate, and mingled with superstition and hope. But they know evil. They know the
devil and his associates personnally. You won't find too many coppers who are Puritans or Pollyanna's.
I've
dealt with many hundreds of them in crisis, and to a man, when they hear prayers and Biblical comfort their crises are calmed,
and their demons put to rest. It's really quite remarkable to observe. And so I think there'a place for a book like
this, and many more to follow I hope.

What a great story! Chicago Warriors is a wonderful, inspirational read, and it was hard to keep a dry eye throughout. John
Wills puts in words what every law enforcement officer knows in his heartthat forces of evil roam the earth and oftentimes
ordinary men and women behind a badge have first contact. As a retired federal agent and author, like John, I have called
upon Saint Michael to pull me through many perils like the characters in his book.

I read the entire book. I could not put it down...the second chapter really drew me in and I could
not stop. I read on the train, in class and at the gym because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. There
are several things which touched me the reference to St. Michael and the prayer on page 123 and your ability to glorify Christ.
The prayer on page 138 and 194 have been added to my index cards of prayers...Every prayer written by you in that book spoke
to my soul and I believe God used you as a vessel to write those prayers.
You taught me a little bit o new
police lingo as well. You addressed modern day problems facing everyone today not just police officers. Your ability to illustrate
the relationship between Marilyn and Pete shows how men and women in Christ can work towards his glory successfully. For me
Marilyn was a real character who reminded me of myself. So often we as officers or therapist think we should have the knowledge
to avoid the traps of sin but all too often it blinds us and Marilyn is so real. I fall in the traps myself and that is why
putting God at the throne is essential. The marriage reconciliation between Pete and his wife was touching and gave me hope.
...Loved the epilogue and the gripping excerpt from the next book please hurry I want to read it. I could have read this
book forever and was sad when it ended.

O.k. I have
been dying to say this. Your book is freaking amazing!!! WOW! You had me crying at least 5 times while I was reading. I don't
usually cry and I really don't remember ever crying to a book. I like to think of myself as a tough chick who can handle
anything, but damn! I found myself in that book more than you can imagine.
As for Pete being an honest cop, dedicated
and hard working cop...Well, I have always been like that. ...Marilyn, I love her! What a character!
... Thank you so much John! You truly made me happy!
I am so excited to read your new
book! And I hope there will be many more to come after. ...Your book was such a joy to read! Thank you!

For those of us that are unfamiliar with the world
of police work, this is a wonderful book. It offers interesting insight into the exciting and challenging role of law enforcement,
while still offering all the other components that make a great story. Whether you are looking for action, drama, romance
or comedy, this book offers a little bit of everything. The story held my attention from beginning to end and left me wanting
more. I highly recommend this book.
